- The Hosting Center is located adjacent to the cable station of the incumbent telecom operator UTS, providing therefore direct access to multiple fiber optic cables coming to the Island, serving the telecommunication infrastructure for the island of Curaçao. The last fiber optic cable with virtually unlimired capacity that provides superior connectivity is the Arcos 1.
- The Arcos 1 cable is a 8,600 kilometer self-healing submarine ring that connects USA and Latin America passing through several Caribbean islands. This submarine cable consists of both repeated and non-repeated cable segments using state-of-the-art Wavelength Division Multiplexing ("WDM") and Synchronous Digital Hierarchy ("SDH") technology. Initialy it operates at 15 gigabits per second ("Gbps"), but has a multiple up-gradable design capacity of 960 Gbps.
- Another key feature is that the back-up Network Operation Center for Arcos 1 cable is situated in UTS Network Management Center, which is a building adjacent to the Hosting center.
